It's All Right There in Black & White

It’s All Right There in Black & White

Whether it’s fine china or casual any meal can feel stuffy if you feel you already know what’s coming next. In particular, though, the overall tightly tailored feeling associated with most fine china already sets us up to think it’s going to be a rigid, predictable experience. You can prevent that by changing up the look between courses.  Feel free to take a lot of liberties. Be adventuresome! Provided there seems to be common DNA from course to course this is your chance to bring your voice to the table, speak to the season, grow unexpected smiles, or spark lively conversation.

Layering on pieces which have a distinctly new point of view, yet which still sit well with your old china pattern, helps signal that you’re not just going through the motions.
